Your video

On this website, video files are read and re-encoded by your own browser. They are not uploaded, not stored, and never reach a server we operate. Closing the tab removes everything.

In the Android app, video stays on your device. Editing and export are done locally, and files are written to your gallery.

Captions

Speech recognition runs entirely on your device, in the browser tab or in the app. A language model is downloaded once and cached locally; your audio is not transmitted for recognition.

This website

We count visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service that sets no cookies, collects no personal data and does not track you across sites. There is no advertising here.

Fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request.

Advertising in the app

The Android app is supported by ads through Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers and usage data to select and measure ads. Where required, you are shown a consent form before any ad SDK loads, and your choice is respected.

Google's handling of that data is described in their own privacy policy.

Permissions

The app reads video and audio you choose to import, and writes the files you export. It does not read your library in the background.
